Holiday Happenings in our Ocean County Community

We absolutely love the holiday season. We get a chance to visit with many of our loyal Ocean County customers as they unpack their holiday decorations from their storage units, in preparation to deck the halls at home. Plus, there are so many things to see and do in our West Creek, NJ community this time of year; we are never at a loss for entertainment!

Our West Creek Self Storage staff is always eager to share with you what’s happening in our neck of the New Jersey “woods”. We’ve put together a list of events that you won’t want to miss this month.

• On December 7th, grab the family and make your way to Ship Bottom, NJ for their 34th Annual Christmas Parade! Homemade floats and antique cars will fill the streets of Ship Bottom from, 1-3 PM, spreading holiday joy along 5th-25th Streets.

• Need to get some holiday shopping done without the kids in tow? Why not take advantage of the Holiday Drop and Shop Event, hosted by Jenkinson’s Aquarium? On Saturday, December 7th from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, drop off the kids at the aquarium to get a behind the scenes tour and see some of their favorite animals, then head out to do some local shopping. If you have a lot of shopping to do, make sure to pack the kiddos some bagged lunches! For more information on this event, feel free to call the aquarium at 732-892-0600.

• On Sunday, December 8th, slip on your running shoes and join our Ocean County community in the Annual Jingle Bells Run 5k Race and One-Mile Fun Run Fitness Walk in Downtown Toms River. The race begins at 3 PM and will begin at the Ocean County Library – Mancini Hall 101 Washington Street, Toms River , NJ 08753. This event is hosted by The Rotary Club of Toms River.

• In the mood for a holiday musical? Visit Ocean Count College’s Art and Community Center, where “White Christmas: The Musical” will be performed on the following dates in December: 13th-15th; 19-21st. Tickets are on sale for $15 per adult and $12 per senior and student. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Ocean County College Arts & Community Center Box Office at 732-255-0500.
